How I Acquired Book: Library loan!
Pre-read Thoughts: I am super excited for this one as it’s a book club read and be one of my favorite authors!!!!! I have two book clubs I am part of currently, both are tastemakers for Bindery books and this book is Jose’s book club!!!! I’m excited.
During Read Thoughts: Ok so I am going to keep this review as spoiler free as possible due to the book club read being a thing. I try to keep these spoiler free but I can never determine what is a spoiler and sometimes I feel like the actual description of the book itself is a spoiler lol. Ok so this book is amazing. The first 6 pages draw you in FAST. Then you have a scene with a CW animal death. The first chapter the MC is hunting in the forest. I do not think this gives anything away. For me, the scene was not descriptive enough to be an issue but I know some audiences are super sensitive to that, so heads up!
I am about 20% in? It is SO GOOD. Thankfully this is also a book where the author guides the reader through things, so if you feel like you missed a detail. you aren’t completely lost and stressed out. This is going to be at least a 4 star book, but it might hit the 5 star rating again.

While I was like 40% through this book, of course Kalynn Bayron reveals a new book. Of course I inhaled this one. Of course it was amazing.
I need you to see the cover of “Make Me A Monster” because I am still staring at it.
I will probably do a regular re-read of this book because it’s such a wonderful retelling, but I’m SO excited for this new release.
Yes I am still processing this book. You know when you go see a really good movie and the popcorn is the perfect amount of buttery and salty and the soda is crispy cold and the movie is so so good and you just want to lather yourself in the experience after? That’s what this bok was.
