Book Review

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

I do remember thinking this book took me forever to read, but it was recommended/handed to me by a family member and I read it during high school, so I think context is important. I did not pick this book for myself.

I was so impressed by the descriptions of the beauty of the cabin around and the environment and setting. My high school brain was slightly annoyed at how much the author trailed on about the setting, but I appreciated it as I got older.

This book made me cry, it made me think deeply, and I fell in love with it a bit.

It’s a genre bending book – my favorite.
