Pre-read Thoughts: I was actually hesitant going into this one since I am not a huge fan of princess retelling stories. It just isn’t a genre I have expressed interest in.

This was such a GOOD book. Kalynn Bayron is an incredibly talented author, so every book I pick up I know I am in for a good time. This book still managed to blow me away.
It was so creative and angering yet hopeful and exciting and stressful at the same time. For a book to evoke emotions like that in a retelling is amazing for me. This book changed my taste in fantasy books slightly, as I had read other retelling books that were either slightly boring or sexist, or just immature. Doing a retelling with the reader’s expectations already so high from Ciderella being an amazing story, to be this blown away, I need to buy 15 of these books once I can. The cover is gorgeous too.
I am so grateful I was able to get this book from my library! I need to own a physical copy!!
