How I Acquired Book: For Free through Net Galley! This is an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) from Simon and Schuster Children’s Publishing, meaning I received a free advanced ebook copy (the book is in it’s final stages and not yet ready for pub date) and I have the honor of reading it! It is hoped that I provide honest feedback if I feel like doing so, and I usually have something to say.

Pre-read Thoughts: The cover caught my attention immediately due to the bold colors and gorgeous art. Seeing there was an autism rep in this book, I had to immediately read it.

During Read Thoughts: This book covers difficult topics, but does so with such elegance that it is genuinely difficult to put the book down because it is written so well and keeps you going. I cried a few times and was angry and I believe that was the intent, but then I also was able to see ASD in a realistic manner. It is very rare to be able to see it represented properly, and this book did it beautifully.

Post Read Thoughts: This book is a lot to process and I want to buy it in physical form once it comes out.

If you can’t tell, this book has already left a lasting impression on me. I feel so honored to be able to be part of this ARC team and help spread the word about this book. It is an extremely important read. The weird thing is as disturbing as the content is, it is written so well, handed so elegantly, and has a tiny bit of humor thrown in, so I want to keep picking it up and reading it. It’s an enjoyable read and will likely go down as one of the most important books I ever have the privilege of reading.

This is one of those books that leaves an impact and stays with you. It will likely be one of the most important reads of my life, and I look forward to purchasing the physical book once it’s released.

It is hard to put my emotions into words with this book, as it touches on such a sensitive topic. I was extremely grateful to see Autism Spectrum Disorder represented so well.

I’ll be talking about and thinking about this book for a very long time. The cover is beautiful too.

Thank you to Net Galley for allowing me to receive a free ARC of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily and this is my honest opinion.
